Volunteer Brunch

Last week, my kids’ school threw a brunch for anyone who volunteered over the school year and let me tell you, I was so impressed!  The food was yummy and the decorations were absolutely adorable!  I’m sure people thought I was nuts, but I clicked a few pictures while I was there because it was just too darn cute.

Our school used a train theme throughout the school year to tie its activities and values together and they incorporated it into the decorations at our brunch.

We even got to take a map home, which I thought was way cool and my husband and son appreciate too.  They can never have too many maps.

Seriously, how cute are these accordion map flowers???!!!

They do so much for our kids already,

I almost felt guilty that they treated us with such a fabulous brunch.

But I’ll take it!

Thank you to the staff for making us feel so special!

  1. Wow! That is really cute, thoughtful and so generous. This is such a crazy time of year, it really says a lot about your school that they would put so much effort into the volunteer brunch. You volunteers deserve a little love!

  2. Love it! I bet the person who put that together has fabulous bulletin boards in her classroom. I am totally going to copy that whirly-gig- from- maps idea for my summer mantel.
