Hi guys! Shooby-do, New Year’s is already around the corner! Every year we spend it with our friends and their kids at a hotel. No worries about being on the road and all that. Works out well. Over the years, there have been a couple things we’ve done to make it fun.
BUBBLE WRAP!
It’s the best noise maker around because it doesn’t squeal in your ears like the blowers. We get a few rolls of it and let the kids run up and down popping away at midnight. (original post here)
Fancy Glasses
Last year, we fancified plastic wine glasses for each person to clink in the New Year.
Check out the original post for more pictures of our “fancy” glasses.
Last year, the adults had fun trying to think up a “word” for the year too. Kind of like a theme to keep you on track for your resolution. It was a really fun and funny conversation trying to come up with our words actually. I got the idea from Mique at Thirty Handmade Days. She created worksheets to break down your New Year’s Resolution into separate areas, one for kids and one for adults. I’ve printed them off for us again this year. You can print them off at the links below…
So what are you all up to for New Year’s? Whatever it may be, have fun and be safe!!
Happy New Year, friends!!
