Here’s what I mean when I say, “I am your husband.” I often find myself in conversations with friends and when grumblings about a husband’s bad habits come up, I just nod and smile. Not because my guy is Mr. Perfect, but because most of the complaints are things I do. Yep, I’m that guy.
Instead of rinsing my dish off and putting it right in the dishwasher, I rinse it and set it on the counter. (My husband will argue that I don’t rinse it, but I do!!) Why don’t I take that extra minute, really 2 seconds to put it in the dishwasher? Why? I do not know. Sometimes it’s because the dishwasher is full…so why don’t I empty it??? Instead, I move on to the next thing leaving myself with 20 minutes worth of dishes to do later. JUST DO IT, KIM! ARGGGGG.
I can think of more examples, but I’ll just leave it at that. You get the idea though, right?Take an extra minute and it would be done already! Don’t put it down, put it away. Such a simple concept, but such a hard habit to break. So that is my FOCUS for today.
Take an extra minute to finish a task completely
to save time later.
Now, I’m going to bring my dish to the sink and put it in the dishwasher!
